Amazing Borneo

We needed a moment, this trip has been amazing and words couldn't describe it...

The Niah Cave.

Longhouse village in the jungle

The view from the airplane, what used to be rainforest is now palm tree plantage :0(

Flying from Kota Kinabalu to Miri

Now we are ready for our trekking in the jungle and the Niah Caves in Miri

What's for dinner? Tuna steak, corn, fish, chicken soup, sweet potatoes and other good stuff

Bananas

Food at the Night Market

The floating city mosque in KK, by night (Kota Kinabalu)

Waiting for the sun to go down to see the city mosque lightened up, we read that is was supposed to be very beautiful.

The floating city mosque by day

Orang Utans eating its favourite fruit

Our luxury beds in the jungle

Our jungle hut

They even have toilet paper in the jungle, how fancy!!

A tiny bird we met on the night trekking, its blind...

My favourite picture, notice the mosquito on the frogs butt... didn't see it before I uploaded the picture :0)

A beautiful very small bird, its blind and stayed on the stick even though we had our camera a few cm. for it.

Good morning... our friend on the ceiling inside the hut, i'm glad we have mosquito net!

The view from our camp by the river

Jungle trekking outfit

Wan showing us Aloe Vera and another plant that you definitely don't wanna use as toilet paper if you are living in the jungle. Your butt will itch for hours...

Wan showing the Urang Utans favourite fruit

This little friend smelled like almond and marzipan when you rubbed its back...yum!!

Fancy breakfast in the jungle, pancake, french toast, eggs and fried banana.

Hornbills, husband and wife...

Night view form the camp

Enjoying life and feeling lucky to be a place like this.

Toilet at the end of the path... don't wait till last minutes...

Long tale monkeys

A Lizard

Our first meeting with a wild Orang Utan, AMAZING!!!

Im standing on the bridge right on top of it, he's less than a meter from me...

My reason for coming to Borneo... the Orang Utans

The three musketeers

Crumpets and local Borneo rainforest tea, uhmm..

The garden at the English Tea House. It was like being in an old movie...

On our way to the tea house

Our first night in Sandakan, and we realise that shorts may not be the most appropriate to wear in a muslim country.
Sandakan...

After our, apparently very expensive, Indian dinner in Kuala Lumpur airport.

So exited!!
